Progress at the moment

At the moment I am sticking all of my photographs down from my 2nd shoot on the masking tape project. I have been talking about the different types of lighting, the orientation of the images and also the position of the model within the frame. I find my photography to break a few conventions within photography but some of the broken conventions make my photography interesting to the eye

NEW PROJECT IMAGES

I have just done a new photo shoot and I think it has been successful, there is a change in this photo shoot though, instead of a number of people being photographed, I instead made it more time effcient and also mroe interesting to use two models instead.
I may be studying different aspects of people, for example, I could photography peoples movement such as in these images as well as colour.

Just looking back on the photo shoot that I have done, I have realised where I have seen this before.

It kinda is the same idea Lady GaGa used in her photoshoot, covering up the face and moving her head fast so that her hair is moving in the image. I see this as something that is so interesting to me, the covering of the face and the loose strings coming from her face, another idea has come from this about attatching string to the masking tape and the movement of the string will be very interesting to see, even the failed experiments are worth the documentation.

Here are a sample of my images taken:

NEW IDEAS!!

I have been thinking about using the same photographs that I have taken with the masking tape and using a various number of editing techniques such as changing the colour temperature, adding blur, basically, thing that I will be able to change within the RAW format to make the image differ in each way and writing about how I did this and evaluating the image as well.
I will also be using a number of ways on how to split a number of images by cutting them in the same place and creating the frame again but with other pieces of other images creating a brand new image, and I will be trying this with originals and then following on to the edits.
I will be planning to complete this project by: 20/10/11

When I have completed this project, I will be moving onto photographing the same models but within a studio environment and with different colours of tape such as black and also white.
Again I will be looking into doing the same as I have done in the previous project but it will be different as there is the environment to consider.

I will be also thinking about other ideas about how to differ the variable elements such as experimental lighting including colour and also harsh and soft lighting on the model. I will also be considering location and also the form of the masking tape.

When these projects have been completed I will create a final piece which will ultimately be merged with everything. My plans are still up in the air at the moment but will soon be completed!

Clouds

Just walking from asda and found a interesting line across the sky. The blue sky and above it, the grey and black clouds hovering over hull

A image of a idea

Here is a picture of me in art in Wyke. I was playing around with this and was looking where I could put this. I think it is very interesting as it hides my facial expression but I still have an eye free to look but it restrict my mouth from speaking

Bradford Trip

When at the Bradford museums, we visited the NMM (National Media Museum) and also Studio One. When there, we discovered some interesting photographs and also some photographers along the way. The bad thing about the photography is that it isn't something that relates to my project, but it had lead to some ideas of my own when combining my own thoughts.
I had took some images during the trip, none of the museums but instead the trip home and it came back with some interesting results for me.
I took a great image for its composition (rule of three)
I also used a technique of taking people body parts such as eyes and mouth on my phone and put them in the same place on my face and then took a picture of that, showing that everyone has the same body parts, no matter how different they are, they are still the same

I had also took some panoramics of the bus and they did turn out very strange with everyone moving.

Masking Tape Project

I have started a masking tape project within photography, the idea came to me when watching a clown horror DVD for my media studies music video and mixing the shapes and also the covering up of the facial features does give the audience something to be scared about. The genre of this photography is horror, the aim of my photography is to be different and to also have the present genre of horror included. There are some images below which I took in RAW and JPG so I will be able to edit them further.

Panorama Photography

I have also been doing panorama photography as well and experimenting with the use of how to do a panorama without a option built into the camera and I found this diagram:

The photos that I took pictures of was the Ash building and I was doing this as a test, I took 10 images for the top part of the Ash building and 15 images of the bottom part of the Ash building, the sample images are below:

Work reflection

I have currently been doing some work relating to architecture of Wyke. I have took images of the college and edited them to make them more interesting, including using the techniques of other photographers. There photographers are:

The original images are below:

I used their techniques and I had come out with a interesting outcome with the images as shown below:

Photograph Outcome

These are some of the images that I had captured during that day, I think most of them are interesting as they have such vibrancy such as the red berries, also the negative space is interesting too, applying a filter to some of these images could make them more interesting.
